On 24 July 2026, AKMI hosted a national multiplier event in Athens to share the results of the VETCompass project (Erasmus+ KA220-VET) with the Greek vocational education and training (VET) community. Held as part of the project’s dissemination phase, the event brought together 10 participants, including trainers and education professionals, for a session focused on strengthening the transversal skills of VET educators and on putting the project’s tools into practice.
VETCompass is a European cooperation partnership uniting eight organisations from four countries — Germany, Greece, Italy and Ireland. Its shared goal is to improve the quality and attractiveness of vocational education by equipping VET teachers, trainers and staff with stronger transversal skills: the cross-cutting competences — such as communication, problem-solving, digital literacy and adaptability — that help educators respond to the evolving needs of learners and the labour market.
During the event, the AKMI team presented the project’s main results. At the centre were the VETCompass Toolbox Library — a collection of 50 practical resources designed to support the continuous professional development of VET teachers — and the VETCompass Roadmap, which guides VET institutions in embedding these resources into their own professional development strategies. Together, the two outputs offer educators concrete, ready-to-use material and a clear path for applying it at organisational level.
Multiplier events like this one are essential to the impact of Erasmus+ projects: they carry results beyond the partnership and place practical tools directly in the hands of the educators and institutions that can use them. As VETCompass approaches its final stage, the partners will continue to promote the Toolbox Library and Roadmap across their national networks, encouraging VET providers to make transversal-skills development a lasting part of everyday teaching and learning.
